22” x 28”- Acrylic and Mixed Media-Inspired by a magnificent tree I discovered in NYC’s Central Park on a family trip. It was the last family trip before my son was to go to college and the 2 figures in the front are of my husband and son. (My husband giving my son fatherly advice!) I took some liberties with this painting. No one was carrying boats, they were already resting along the bank. But my idea was to call the boat being carried “Courage”, to make a symbolic metaphor about the scene.
